Our terms for using the HairLocks website, purchasing products and booking hair-extension services.

Welcome to HairLocks. These terms explain the conditions that apply when you use our website, purchase our products or book our services. They operate alongside your rights under applicable Australian law.

HairLocks is an Australian hair-extension business based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We offer hair extensions, hairpieces, hair-care accessories and related services.

In these terms, “HairLocks”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the HairLocks business. “You” and “your” refer to customers and website visitors.

By using our website, you agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with its security, operation or availability.

You must not use our website to submit fraudulent orders, transmit malicious code, misuse our content or engage in unlawful activity.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when placing an order or making an enquiry is accurate and complete.

We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately, including their lengths, weights, materials and features.

Hair is a natural product, and variations in texture, density, colour and appearance can occur between batches. Product photographs may also appear different depending on your screen and device.

Where a product is unavailable or an obvious listing error is identified before an order is fulfilled, we may contact you to discuss the available options. We will not use this provision to remove rights that have already arisen under applicable law.

Hair colour can appear different under different lighting conditions and on different screens. Photographs and colour charts are guides rather than guarantees of an exact match.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate colour information and any requested photographs. Where available, a colour-matching consultation may help reduce the risk of a mismatch.

A difference in screen appearance alone does not necessarily indicate a product fault. However, all applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.

Orders are subject to product availability and confirmation. Please check your selected product, colour, length, quantity and delivery details before submitting an order.

If we cannot supply an accepted order, we will contact you to discuss an appropriate solution, which may include an alternative, an agreed revised delivery timeframe or a refund where applicable.

Nothing in this section authorises us to disregard an order or avoid our obligations under applicable law.

━━ 6. Prices and Payments

Prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable GST is included in displayed prices where required.

Payment must be made using the payment methods offered at checkout or otherwise agreed with HairLocks.

Prices may change for future purchases. The price confirmed for your order will apply, subject to any correction required by law and any applicable agreement with you.

━━ 7. Deposits and Custom Orders

Deposits may be required for custom-coloured hair, specially ordered products, customised hairpieces or appointments. The amount and payment arrangements will be communicated before you commit to the order or booking.

Once work on a custom order has begun or materials have been specially sourced, cancellation may involve costs already reasonably incurred. Any amount retained must be consistent with the agreement and applicable law.

Custom-made or custom-coloured products may not be eligible for a change-of-mind return. This does not affect your rights if a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

Customers booking hair-extension services are responsible for providing accurate information about their natural hair, previous treatments and relevant sensitivities.

Please arrive on time for your appointment and contact HairLocks as early as reasonably possible if you need to change or cancel it.

Any applicable booking, cancellation, rescheduling or deposit conditions will be communicated when the appointment is arranged. Any fees or amounts retained must be consistent with applicable law.

We provide our services with the care and skill required by the Australian Consumer Law.

━━ 9. Hair Care and Maintenance

Hair extensions require appropriate home care and maintenance. Customers should follow the care instructions provided for their particular extension method and hair type.

Depending on the product and method, this may include gentle brushing, suitable hair products, careful heat styling and professional maintenance or removal where recommended.

Improper care, excessive heat, unsuitable chemical treatments, incorrect installation or failure to follow care instructions may affect the condition and lifespan of extensions.

These factors will be considered when assessing a concern, but this section does not automatically exclude a remedy where HairLocks is responsible under the Australian Consumer Law.

━━ 10. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery estimates are provided where available and may vary according to location, carrier and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Incorrect address details may cause delays or additional delivery costs.

If a delivery issue occurs, please contact us so we can investigate it. This section does not remove any obligations HairLocks has regarding delivery or consumer guarantees.

Our Refund & Returns Policy explains the conditions for change-of-mind returns, eligible exchanges, faulty products and refund requests.

Please read the policy before requesting a return. If a product or service does not meet a consumer guarantee, your legal rights apply regardless of any change-of-mind conditions.

Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not override our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation if a consumer guarantee is not met.
